On the whole my experience at Le Spa was what I would expect for a cheaper salon in Singapore, it doesn’t resemble a top end luxurious spa, however it does offer enjoyable treatments at a reasonable price. Currently there is an opening offer of $38 for a 45 min body massage.
There are some real perks to being a blogger, which outweigh the long days and hectic work schedule. One of these perks is being invited to have a cheeky weekday massage at a new spa. Le Spa is a chain of spas in Singapore, which have been around since late 2013 they are located on Gemmil Lane, Upper Bukit Timah Road and Mohammed Sultan Road in Robertson Quay.
I headed to Le Spa at Rob Quay a couple of weeks ago to try out their 90 min Balinese massage. I am not one for a strong massage and much prefer a medium pressure to be able to really relax and hopefully nod off. This worked well as my masseuse understood this and then created the perfect pressure for me.
This spa has a welcoming entrance lobby and I was greeted with a smile (always pleasant). I was then ushered through a sliding door to the back portion of the spa, which was decorated with soothing wooden décor and low lighting. There were relaxation chairs here and this is where I was requested to leave my shoes. I was then given a pair of large black flip-flops, which I personally didn’t like. I would rather of walked bare foot to the treatment room than put on shoes that have been worn by a lot of people before me.
There was a selection of small treatment rooms with enough space for one bed. The lighting in these rooms is left very low and I could have done with a little more light to change with! On drinking my green tea the relaxing treatment began. Unfortunately, to begin with the room was far too cold due to the air conditioning, however my therapist kindly turned this off for me. I also felt she used too much oil, which for my tastes I didn’t enjoy as much.
