I’m back with a new find. I discovered this brand not long ago on The Boutique Society and have been using my Manhattan tote on repeat ever since. Appropriately named as it’s my favourite city in the world!
Avery Verse is the brand behind this beautifully classic handbag. And I was really excited to catch up with designer, Christie to find out what her inspirations are and what’s next for this eco friendly brand.
Christie finds her design inspiration from her grandparents style, which she informs me was very refined, elegant and had a quality to it which could transcend time. One stylish family!
One of my favourite things about this Australian brand is their sustainable angle in both the sourcing of material and the production of each piece in their collection. They use ethically sourced Italian vegetable tanned leather, which I learnt is a centuries old sustainable process of tanning the leather and it creates a high quality finish that won’t kill the planet. Win win!
This is definitely something I will be looking at when buying leather products in the future.
What’s great about this bag is that I can fit pretty much everything I need for a day out with my twin girls. It doubles up as a stylish handbag for mom come nappy bag for the girls. I’m really not a fan of nappy bags that look like nappy bags so this is a great solution for me and it’s black soft finish goes with so many of my outfits.
2018 is a big year for Avery Verse with the recent launch of their Australian sheepskin boots and designer silk scarves on their online boutique. I for one am super excited to check out the boots (for my trips to colder climes, not Singapore!) I do love a boot, despite not being able to wear them for 95% of the year! I find buying online revolves a lot around trust; whether you trust the quality of the materials, trust the ethos of the brand and whether what you order is actually what turns up on your doorstep. I shop online a lot these days, and knowing the quality of the materials Avery Verse uses has definitely made me intrigued to check out the rest of their collection.
Christie also tells me they will be appearing at New York Fashion Week in September for the first time, which is super exciting for them. I only wish I could go too with my Manhattan tote in tow…
I am happy to announce that all Lulabelle Lifestyle readers can receive SGD $50 off the whole collection on The Boutique Society… be sure to use <AV50> at checkout.
