I can honestly say since finding these classes and attending them 3-4 times a week and sweating more than I thought possible in yoga, I am hooked. The group classes are great because each teacher has a different style making each class individual which alleviates any boredom of repetition.
These private classes can consist of anything you would like; whether that be a full vinyasa class for example, or mostly they are used for students to work on their technique and pick up the right cues for when they are practicing in the group classes.
This is exactly what we did. There were a few moves that I wanted Kristin to check I was doing right such as the half moon pose and the full vinyasa. She also gave me some great guidance on how to perfect each pose and what it should feel like. She then assured me that it was ok to use props, which is great as it turns out I needed the blocks to help me with the half moon pose so now I know when to use them.
On reflection, I probably wouldn’t have these lessons each week as the group classes are the best way to practice a full yoga class, however they are great for working on technique when needed and especially for beginners.
Have you tried private yoga lessons before?
