Since undergoing an Organic Skincare revolution last year I am now fully on the bandwagon and take great care in what I put on my skin.
Aussie Organic Skincare brand Lacues are a brand who tick every organic box for me and for the past two months I have been using their skincare religiously and have been loving the results. I have been using their Miracle Facial Oil, Lavender Hydrating & Restoring Face Serum and their Deluxe Lavender Soothing Mist. All 3 of these products can be used daily, on all skin types and help to soothe, hydrate and nourish your skin.
Lets start with your morning skincare routine…
After washing spray your face with the lavender soothing mist to help provide a natural antioxidant barrier protection, balance skin tone and hydrate the skin. Then gently pat the excess moisture into your skin. The lavender essential oil has antibacterial qualities so this helps to soothe and clean. The other natural ingredients such as Australian Kakadu Plum Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Australian Certified Organic Honey, Chamomile Flower Extract and Marshmallow Extract calm inflammation and are gentle on the skin.
At first I wasn’t sure how beneficial this product would be as it very light, however, I have experienced the calming and anti-inflammatory effects from the lavender and other ingredients and it is very refreshing on the skin, especially in hot and humid climates.
Once the mist has been absorbed into your skin you can move onto the Lavender Hydrating and Restoring Face Serum. This serum also contains Lavender Essential Oil along with Hyaluronic Acid, Australian Kakadu Plum Extract, Certified Organic Rosehip Oil, and Australian Jojoba Oil. These natural ingredients assist in restoring the hydration of the skin to combat against moisture loss, which in turn combats against the dreaded wrinkles!
I don’t always use a serum as sometimes I just moisturize, bronze, blush and go! However, I know this is something I really should do daily and since the start of the year I have been making a more concerted effort to do this. So as a result I haven’t used this product as much as the other two. However, on the days when I have used it I have loved the lavender scent and the soothing and anti-bacterial effects I know it is having on my skin.
This clear serum can feel slightly sticky after application so I would suggest leaving this on to either fully absorb into your skin or make sure you apply makeup quickly. I will definitely aim to use this more to reap the benefits.
Moving onto your nighttime skincare rituals…
You can use the Mist to cleanse the skin before applying this facial oil. Once the mist has been absorbed dispense one pump of the oil onto the back of your hand and using your fingers gently pat this all over your face, neck and décolletage. You really don’t need much of this oil to go along way and I can see it lasting a lifetime making it great value for money.
Despite not hurting your bank balance this oil does feel like a luxury with its lightweight non-greasy formula feeling extremely hydrating for my skin. Each ingredient has been chosen to provide an antioxidant barrier for the skin, which has left my skin feeling soft and my complexion brighter. I also really like the natural, clean rose scent of this oil. I will definitely continue to use this oil on a nightly basis.
There is something so reassuring about knowing that what you are putting on your skin is natural and from the earth with no nasty chemicals inside. Until this past year or so I never thought about what was inside my skincare as I blindly trusted that everything was good for my skin and believed the “if it is expensive then it must be good” philosophy. Now having undergone an organic education through brands such as Lacues I feel that I can now nourish my skin and body that much better. This is particularly important when living in the sunshine all year round and the daily fight against wrinkles from sun damage. Whilst these products don’t have an spf in they do help to keep my skin hydrated so it doesn’t become dry and banishes the dreaded peel from that holiday glow!
