Ok lets face it pregnancy isn’t easy! As a first time mom you start your first trimester in a happy (but often naseous daze) feeling a little clueless as to what you should be doing to help both yourself and the baby growing inside you. This is totally normal, you have nine months to read, research and shop your favourite pregnancy products and nest to your heart’s content before your little one arrives.
I certainly felt no different and have spent the last 8 months reading blogs, books and speaking with other moms (including my own!) to get as much advice as possible (minus the scary stuff, not for me thanks). During this time I found there are tonnes of products out there designed to help and pamper the mom-to-be and here are some of my favourites:

Before you do anything else please download the Ovia Pregnancy app, it is a wealth of bite size information and a great way to track your pregnancy day by day.

One of the first thing you will notice on becoming pregnant is the changes to your breasts so an upgrade to a comfy yet sexy bralette could be a real life saver in these first few months. This one from Legoe heritage is just gorgeous and I love how it doesn’t look anything like a maternity bra, hallelujah!

Another way of keeping track of your pregnancy and all of the special milestones is to buy a pregnancy journal. My mom bought one as a gift for me and I have loved filling it out each week with photos of what we have been up to and our latest scans and noting how I felt each week and remembering what we did in the lead up to our due date.

Once your bump starts to show, usually around week 12 for most women, you will need to start treating it with some tlc by keeping it moisturised daily to help keep stretch marks at bay. I used this 100% natural Jojoba oil for my bump and all over my body as it is incredibly moisturising and I liked the fact that it is natural so won’t cause any reactions to my very sensitive pregnancy skin.
Once you hit 18 weeks your baby will begin to be able to hear noises inside and outside the womb. I fell completely in love with Ilado Paris when I discovered their pregnancy necklaces that are designed to soothe your unborn baby with a soft chiming noise every time you move. My husband treated me to their Harmony necklace as this timeless design would go with all of my maternity outfits.

When your bump gets bigger and you start to feel the extra weight swimming (or floating in my case) becomes a real luxury. And for a bit of fun I loved these bright and quirky swimsuits from Mamagama.
