Whilst looking at an expat Facebook group I’m a member of recently I’ve noticed a few people asking where to take unwanted clothes or household items in Singapore. After a good old clear out of the flat, I also had a bag full of unwanted clothes and accessories I wanted to donate to charity.
So after googling I found that the Salvation Army has various charity stores all over the island so I chose one close by at Jalan Bukit Merah and went to donate.
The Salvation Army aids less fortunate people within the community by providing a comprehensive network of social services to tend to their needs. One of these being family thrift stores which accept all forms of donation from clothes to accessories to children’s toys and books. No need to call up just turn up with your donation and you will walk away feeling rewarded.
