Designer and founder, Marina aims to create pieces which suit the modern woman who needs outfits that she can dress down to the office or day date and also dress up for a touch of evening glamour.
Ribbon and Roses was born from Marina’s past fashion experience and the inspiration she found in Asia and the collection’s clean lines and classic pieces have earned themselves a loyal fan base both in the UK and Singapore.
These original east meets west designs are updated regularly and only a limited number of each piece is ever made. Marina doesn’t follow the seasons (as there are none in Singapore!) and she continues to design new pieces suitable for the Singapore climate all year round.
I was lucky enough to grab myself a pair of her Black Silk Shorts with a tie belt detail, which can be dressed up for at night or dressed down for a lunch date with the girls.
Whilst I was at the DKNY fall event last weekend I decided to style these shorts with some of their new collection to show how versatile they can be.
These black silk shorts are so versatile and due to their loose fitted nature they are flattering and can be worn during the day too. The silk tie detail around the waist is a delicate detail and one you could change up depending on your mood by introducing a pop of colour instead.
Look out for some more styling features coming up featuring Ribbon & Roses…
You can find Ribbon & Roses collection daily at Chillax Market or you can visit them next week at their pop up at Cluny Court (details below).
