This week I have the pleasure of introducing Singapore multi label brand Sol Sisters. Founders Patricia Duff and Ming Storm share a love for fashion and wanted to bring luxury fashion pieces and jewellery to Singapore from across the globe.
They have begun this fashion forward endeavour with a luxury resort wear collection from designer Genevieve Dieu based in Phuket, Thailand. No doubt it is the natural beauty of Thailand and the tropical weather all year round that inspires Genevieve’s designs. It was this vibrancy and the sexy silhouettes that drew both Ming and Patricia to this label.
The collection features bold animal prints in a rainbow of colours, from the more traditional brown and cream to bright blue and pale pink. These designs are completely unique using high quality fabric from Italy before being bought to life in Bulgaria.
I took the Vidji Maxi in Zebra print out for a sunset stroll before dinner on the beach and its lightweight material and floaty design leant itself well to the Singapore climate.
The sizing is generous in this loose fitting style so I actually took a size down for this dress. The collection also features the body con style in an array of prints and colours, which the silky fabric lends itself well to.
So what’s next for Sol Sisters? “We want to bring more exciting and unique resort wear labels to Singapore”, informed Patricia. Watch this space!
Thank you to Sol Sisters for this dress. As always the thoughts and opinions you see on these pages are my own.
