Accessories will always be in fashion. It’s just the colour, shape and design that will change with the trends. However, classic jewellery pieces can retain their style and prove themselves versatile time and again. Singapore based brand Lustre is one such jewellery brand. Designer, Anaita’s ethos is to design pieces for the modern woman and to make gemstones affordable to everyone.
It was Lustre’s use of their unique and colourful gemstones that drew me to them in the first place and I was delighted to meet with Anaita and find out a little bit more behind the brand.
Anaita draws her design inspiration from her many travels and the stones themselves. Each gemstone tells it’s own story, which is why Anaita begins the design process with the stone and then creates the shape and style around it. Therefore each piece is unique, which is a huge plus in my book!
In the spirit of conscious living I was intrigued to know where Lustre’s pieces were bought to life and Anaita told me she works with artisans from India, Thailand, Turkey and Cambodia who all specialise in a particular area of the jewellery making process.
I am now the proud owner of the Double Line Agate Cuff, which incorporates black, grey and beige agate stones making for a dramatic accessory. Whilst on my honeymoon to Europe in the summer I took my Lustre cuff to the Opera to accessorise a LBD. Despite this piece looking substantial it isn’t heavy, therefore it was very comfortable to wear and it immediately dressed up my plain black dress and added a touch more glamour.
Once I got back to Singapore I accessorised a casual daytime outfit of jeans, a simple long sleeved shirt/tee, which added interest to an otherwise everyday ensemble.
I love wearing my Lustre cuff around town and already have my eye on one of their stingray cuffs, which look great layered up.
Thank you to Lustre for sending me this Cuff for my honeymoon and as always my thoughts and opinions are my own.
