I have previously mentioned The Flying Squirrel in my date guide and after visiting there again last week I thought it would be useful to write a review on our evening.
The food is Asian fusion (sounds vague doesn’t it) well think sushi along with tempura, gyozas, blow fish and different salads to choose from. I would recommend ordering the crab and avocado salad it is delicious, also the tuna maki and tempura prawns were extremely tasty also. And we were very happy after surviving the blow fish (our first time) so would definitely order that again. It is a social eating concept where you order a variety of dishes to share, we had about 5 dishes (including the sushi platter) to share amongst the three of us.
I highly recommend trying this restaurant out either in a group or as a couple. Jen who was visiting last week loved it’s intimate and quirky nature and said she would never have known to go there as a tourist so was happy to have been taken off the beaten track and experience some “super yummy” sushi.
Check out my date guide on here for more suggestions of where to go in Singapore.
