If you’re anything like me you are always looking for the perfect way to make your home that little bit more stylish and the perfect spaces to return to after a busy day whilst still retaining your personality. What colours work best together? Should you mix patterns? Will this ginormous metal plate that I just had to buy look good on the wall? We all need some help in this department and Priya from Interior Design Journey is my go-to Interior Design guru. She has recently been featured in Expat Living Magazine, where you can see examples of her Interior Design style come to life, this is her take on a sanctuary that reflects her personality and lifestyle.
1. First up are Throw Pillows/Cushions – No room is complete without throw pillows/cushions as they add texture, colour and patterns to liven up any room, but remember to keep a balance.
If before and afters are your thing then head here to see a selection of IDJ’s projects. Here you will see what a space previously looked like before Priya set to work on creating an enhanced space, that not only looks stylish but also creates a sense of well being for each of her clients.
Priya’s eye for design has led her to create a range of table runners and cushions, which she is selling alongside personally sourced home wares from Bali at the Tanderra Christmas Fair this week. Head down to the Tanderra Club to meet Priya herself and also pick up some items to enhance your home.

Originally from the UK I moved to Singapore for some sunshine and adventure. Since then I have spent the last 7 years learning the tricks of the design trade and harnessing my interior design skills. I would describe my style as a mix of contemporary furnishings blended with Asian elements such as patterns, carved Chinese screens, Asian silk fabrics, flowers, accessories and lacquered furniture. I love meeting with our clients to listen and discuss their individual tastes and desires for their homes, which I always aim to encompass along with adding the Interior Design Journey touch making each project completely unique.
